Best Ski Resorts in Europe for Snow in January

January is statistically the snowiest month in the Alps. The January rankings are the most geographically diverse of the ski season, with resorts from France, Austria, Switzerland, and the Pyrenees all featuring in the top 20.

January is peak season and school holidays and high demand push prices to their highest. Resorts ranked 15 to 30 often receive comparable snowfall to the top 5 at significantly lower cost and with shorter lift queues. If budget matters, the middle of the January ranking is worth looking at carefully.
